Jesus JunXion, is a ministry that carried a family during the worst of times, death, poverty, illness, and loss. Words that when spoken seem easy to overcome. The reality is very different when the hurts and disappointments in this world keep coming.

Choosing Jesus is like taking a deep breath. A breath that fills your lungs, calms your mind and waters your soul. Living for God does not come without sacrifice. Even as children of God, we are called to be in the world, but not of the world. It’s hard to face 100’s of non-believers with your faith.

Jesus JunXion registered as a non-profit organisation on 23 July 2014 (139-744 NPO). We opened our lives and hearts to God and all those He called us to minister to. Impacting lives with the Gospel one person at a time.

Our commission is Isaiah 61:1-3: The Year of the Lord’s Favour

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]

2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.

Jesus JunXIon has in the last 10 years opened soup kitchens, homes of solitude and safety for children abused and abandoned. Jesus JunXion is still very active in the North West province.

On the 5th of November 2020, Jesus JunXion started a new project called Anchored In Hope. The founders of Jesus JunXion, a husband and wife team began a journey that takes Jesus to new borders. They are on a 34-foot sailboat taking the gospel of Christ to the coastal regions of South Africa and Africa.

From a history of brokenness comes a life of healing. Knowing that our Hope is Anchored in Christ makes all the difference. Since starting this new Project Anchored In Hope Gwen and Andre have lost and gained much in life. The things that were important when they started this journey are no longer that important.

We have learnt through this project that in spite of who we are and everything we do wrong, we have a loving God who has called us first. That no matter what we think is important, God knows what each of us needs.
