In many places all over the world we will find people trying to give an explanation as to who God is… this is very necessary for without a worldly explanation as to who God is we will have to accept that God’s word could actually be true.

1Co 1:20  Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

Over and over in the Word of God, God reminds us 

1 Co 1:26  For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 1 Co 1:27  But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 1 Co 1:28  God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 1 Co 1:29  so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 1 Co 1:30  And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
1 Co 1:31  so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Because then we would have to acknowledge that nothing in and of ourselves is worth boasting about, because all that is good and wise is Jesus Christ.

The world will think that everything of God is something to laugh about and make fun of.  But us who need God as our very existence it is our power, our life source, our strength.   Choosing to love God is the single most important decision of our lives because it will change us forever.  With this choice comes life, but choosing to not know Jesus is far more detrimental than facing death, it is choosing to not experience true love, true acceptance true change.

May your choice be a selfish one because if you are thinking of the best thing for you, It would be Jesus!!
