I had a bad week, thought that running this race was a bit more than I can handle, Lord I am so unfit.. Ever had that feeling, taking a mouthful of steak and chewing and chewing realising that the work alone is a bit much but swallowing the lot.. well that’s just not going to happen..

That’s kind of how I felt this week. I felts as if every step I took I landed in quick sand, the earth was pulling me down the worldly demands was taking its toll.. I was sinking… I was chewing but had no teeth… I was swallowing but found myself choking.. My air was thinning, I was going blue, the voices around me were going faint, I lost focus and the light became dim.

BUT God’s instructions to us is “Focus on me your Lord God” do not look to the left or the right, do not listen to the world, we are not of this world.  We are just an alien nation passing through, this is our journey but heaven our destination.

Yes, yes, Lord I know all these things, but living in the world especially as an alien makes it so much harder Father.. It seems as if I have this red circle pinned on my back and every bull who can see me comes to attack….and again my Daddy says, “Gwennie you are not alone when will you learn that I am your stronghold, when will you trust that I will not let you fall”

Hebrews 11:1 “ Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see”

So to you all out there, its tough and it’s a lonely road with only Jesus at the wheel… But trust me, its worth it!!
