The moment that we have to start saying Jesus lives, something inside of us changes…
It doesn’t change just from the change that comes from confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord, it comes from overcoming something inside of us that we have not wanted to admit.. the truth we have to actually start believing, and the life we have to start living.
I remember for many years I didn’t want to tell people that I am a child of God, an actual believer. The reason for this was that people would start to watch my life and they would start to see that “what I preached was not always what I lived”
Imagine for a moment if you confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord, you would have Joy overflowing no matter the circumstances, because if You believe that Jesus lives, you would believe that Jesus lived in your life, over every circumstance, every condition, and then you would be forced to not live for what the world is saying is true, but for WHAT GOD SAYS IS TRUE…
What does God say is True over your life:
You are a new creation in Him!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.” 2 Cor. 5:17
You are reconciled in Christ!
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Cor 5:18-19
You are righteous and holy.
“And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:24
You are born again by the Holy Spirit:
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. John 3:3-6
You are saved by grace as a gift, not because of any of your performance.
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians 2:8
You radiate light wherever I go.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
You shine like a fireworks into the night.
“Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” Philippians 2:15
You are a daughter of the Light.
“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”1 Thessalonians 5:5
You are the salt of the earth.
“You are the salt of the earth.” Matthew 5:13
You are a vessel of Divine Light.
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
Beams and light and joy exude from within you.
“Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.” Psalm 97:11
What you have to remember in all of this, God is not ashamed of you, everywhere in the word of God, God expresses His delight in you, His love for you, His joy in you.. to do the work God has called you too. You need to love Him and honour Him.
No Relationship can not be built on one person doing all the work. As such, your life cannot change, you cannot experience God’s full love if you are not willing to accept what He died for, live how He has commanded and give back as He has requested.
We will continue with session 2 in our next blog.
