In a world darkened today with anger
People so quick to slander
So quick to go on our knees
and beg our Father please

Rise up people to change and bring forth peace
In this darkened world
But when that soft voice comes at night
Calling you out

My child
Rise up and be my hands and feet
Do we just turn around and sleep
Saying not now Lord I am not the right one

Not thinking that God called you to be the one
The one to do His will
The lantern that shines Gods light in the darkened world
Don’t let the darkness of the world put out your light
Don’t turn around when God calls you in the night
